Lists are static collections of contacts, while segments are dynamic groups that automatically update based on conditions.
Create a segment

- Navigate to Audience > Lists & segments
- Click Create new > Create segment
- Enter a name for your segment and an optional description
- In the Segment definition section, decide if the contacts should match “All” or “Any” of the specified conditions
- Apply filters by attributes or condition groups for precise audience targeting
- Utilize “and/or” filters to refine your selection further
- Preview the matching contacts, and when satisfied, hit the Save Segment button
Create a list
- Navigate to Audience > Lists & segments
- Click Create new > Create list
- Enter a name for your list
- Add contacts manually or import from a CSV file
- Save your list
Use cases
- Segments: Target customers based on behavior, demographics, or engagement
- Lists: Organize contacts for specific campaigns or events
